Verena Erich

Heyhey!

Ik ben Verena Erich en dit jaar heb ik de eer om een fractielid te zijn bij SOG. Ik zit inmiddels in mijn vierde jaar van de Bachelor Geschiedenis en ben actief bij mijn studievereniging Ubbo Emmius, waar ik een paar commissies heb gedaan. Je herkent me misschien al van SOG, omdat ik vorig jaar ook de secretaris was van het Bestuur.  

Ik kom uit een dorpje in de buurt van Groningen en heb in Groningen ook op de middelbare school gezeten. Ik ken onze prachtige studentenstad dus inmiddels al erg goed en tijdens mijn bestuursjaar heb ik ook kennisgemaakt met het brede verenigingsleven. Ik vind het erg belangrijk dat elke student zich welkom voelt in Groningen en de kans krijgt om alles uit zijn of haar studentenleven te halen. Mede om dit te waarborgen, ben ik in de Universiteitsraad gegaan voor SOG. Verder hou ik me dit jaar bezig met de aansluiting tot de arbeidsmarkt en de financiën van de Universiteit, naast het vertegenwoordigen van de belangen van mijn portefeuille: UMCG, Gedrags- en Maatschappijwetenschappen en de sportverenigingen.

I am Verena Erich and this year I have the honor of being a Faction Member at SOG. I am now in my fourth year of the Bachelor History and am active in my study association Ubbo Emmius, where I have done a few committees. You may already recognize me from SOG, as I was also the Secretary of the Board last year.  

I come from a village near Groningen and also went to high school in Groningen. So I already know our beautiful student city very well and during my board year I also got acquainted with the broad association culture. I believe it is very important that every student feels welcome in Groningen and has the opportunity to get the most out of their student life. Partly to ensure this, I joined the University Council for SOG. Furthermore, this year I am concerned with the connection to the labor market and the finances of the University, in addition to representing the interests of my portfolio: UMCG, Behavioral and Social Sciences and the sports associations.
