Hi, I’m Anjali Festen, a second-year LLB International and European Law student, and I’m proud to be running for university council for SOG!

I believe your student time is more than just studying– it’s about development, connections, and making the most of your time here. Dutch or international, we share the Peperstraat nights, snacks from The Hoek (kaassouflè>>), and the vibrant associations that shape Groningen. As a Dutch national with an international background, I’m part of SOG to bridge the gap between the two worlds.

This connection with others goes hand in hand with your personal development. Study associations play a big part in this: they allow you to develop yourself and prepare for the future. As the treasurer of my study association, I work to strengthen the role of associations within the university and ensure they receive the recognition and resources they deserve.
