Hi, my name is Ruan and I’m a fifth-year student currently pursuing a Master’s in International Political Economy. Alongside my studies, I’ve been active as a student mentor in International Relations and involved in several associations, including Clio and ESN, where I completed a board year in 2023–2024. Currently, I work as a student assistant, contributing to policy development and implementation for the European University Alliance ENLIGHT.

I’m passionate about helping students feel at home in Groningen and creating a welcoming, supportive environment on campus. I believe every student deserves to be heard, supported, and empowered, values that are at the heart of what Studenten Organisatie Groningen (SOG) stands for. I’m proud to be number 9 on the list of SOG for the University Council elections!

I support SOG because they focus on what truly shapes student life: Fostering a vibrant and supportive environment where students can thrive, with a strong focus on mental health, community, sustainability, and affordability.
