Mees currently is representing SOG as a Faction Member in the University Council. Within his activities in the Faction he will focus on the Medical faculty (UMCG), faculty of Economics and Business, the financial portfolio and he is also in touch with ACLO, sports associations, and the local political organisation.

Currently, he is in his third year of his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Law. Additionally, Mees is active in the Think Tank of the municipal party Student & Stad. In the past Mees was a member of the faculty council at the faculty of Economics and Business.

In his free time he likes to play padel, enjoys cooking and running.
